Be a Bird-Friendly Family

Looking for a simple, meaningful way to connect with your family—and the outdoors?

Join us for Be a Bird-Friendly Family, a fun and inspiring class designed to help families of all ages discover the joy of birds right in their own backyard. You’ll learn easy, practical ways to get kids (and adults!) excited about nature—whether that’s spotting birds on a walk, creating a bird-friendly yard, or even contributing to real scientific research.

In this engaging session, we’ll show you how to:

  • Turn any yard, patio, or balcony into a bird-friendly habitat
  • Make birdwatching a fun family activity
  • Start your own family “life list” of birds
  • Use simple apps to identify birds and track what you see
  • Take real action to help protect songbirds

This isn’t just a class—it’s a way to create lasting memories, spark curiosity, and make a difference together as a family.

Whether you’re brand new to bird feeding or already love watching the birds at your feeder, you’ll walk away with ideas you can start using right away.

Meet your Presenter: Breanna

Breanna is a valued member of our Wild Birds Unlimited team whose passion for birds began behind the lens of her camera. What started as a love for photography quickly grew into a decade-long journey into birding, where she has dedicated herself to learning bird identification, behavior, and habitat.

Over the past 10 years, Breanna has developed a deep, hands-on understanding of birds in our region, combining her artistic eye with real-world field experience. In the store, she loves helping customers connect with the birds in their own backyards—whether that’s identifying a new visitor, choosing the right feeder, or simply sharing the joy that birds bring.

Her enthusiasm is contagious, and her ability to make birding feel approachable and fun makes her a favorite among both new and experienced bird lovers.
